International Exhibit Presented in Nation’s Capital to Enlighten, Educate on History and Future of Human Rights in Mental Healthcare

Oct 6, 2026

The Citizens Commission on Human Rights’ mental health traveling exhibit, now in its 20th year and presented in 17 languages worldwide, was recently exhibited at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Annual Legislative Conference.

Washington, DC, October 6, 2026 /MarketersMEDIA/ -- With the purpose of reinforcing mental healthcare that is patient-centered, consensual and respects human rights, the National Affairs Office of the Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) presented the organization’s globally traveling exhibit on mental health and human rights at the recent Congressional Black Caucus Foundation 55th Annual Legislative Conference in Washington, DC. The exhibit traces the history of psychiatric practices to the present day, underscoring its evolution from the early days to its future with the modern emphasis on the preservation of human rights in the field of mental health.

The exhibit is part of CCHR’s ongoing educational campaign promoting mental health practices with international human rights standards, as called for by the World Health Organization and the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, among other international organizations.

Using historical facts and visuals, the exhibit brings to light the unvarnished early history of psychiatric practices up to present-day practices and their relation to human rights. Facts presented in the CCHR exhibit also expand on the role of psychiatrists and psychologists in racial disparities in the mental health system that were acknowledged by both the American Psychiatric Association and the American Psychological Association on their websites in 2021.

The exhibit was viewed by elected officials, civic leaders, professionals, business people, and other convention visitors from around the nation, with many people reaching out to CCHR for more information or for the exhibit to be displayed in their cities or at their conferences.

CCHR is an international mental health watchdog co-founded in 1969 by members of the Church of Scientology and the late psychiatrist and professor of psychiatry Thomas Szasz, M.D., to ensure human rights and dignity in the field of mental health.

Watsons brings Korean and Asian beauty closer to Filipino shoppers

Oct 9, 2026

From glass skin and barely-there makeup to rosy cheeks, glossy lips and the perfect aegyo-sal, Korean and Asian beauty trends continue to influence beauty routines. The good news is that shoppers do not have to fly to Seoul or wait for their next online haul to get their hands on popular products. Watsons brings some of the most-loved Asian beauty finds closer to Filipino shoppers, making it easier to discover, try and incorporate them into everyday routines. Whether restocking a holy grail product or exploring the latest item gaining attention on social media, shoppers can find their beauty favorites at Watsons' more than 1,220 stores nationwide or through the Watsons App. From glass skin to an everyday glow Part of K-beauty's appeal lies in its ingredients, which target specific skin concerns. For smoother, clearer-looking skin, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) and beta hydroxy acids (BHAs) help exfoliate dead skin cells and clear buildup. Products from Beauty of Joseon and Oxecure offer options for these concerns. Bakuchiol, a plant-derived ingredient often used as an alternative to retinol, may also help improve the appearance of skin texture and fine lines. Products from Eqqualberry, Some By Mi and Deoproce feature this ingredient. For a hydrated K-beauty glow, hyaluronic acid helps attract and retain moisture and can be found in products from Torriden, ISOI and COSRX. Meanwhile, soothing ingredients such as centella asiatica, commonly known as cica, are featured in products from Dr.G, Round Lab and SKIN1004, making them options for those with sensitive or stressed skin. For those looking to brighten their complexion, vitamin C is an antioxidant that helps improve the appearance of dullness and uneven skin tone. Options are available from Sola, Dear Klairs and iWhite Korea. Another ingredient gaining attention in K-beauty is PDRN, which is featured in products from Biodance, Genabelle and Anua. It is used in formulations marketed toward smoother, revitalized-looking skin. Daily sun protection also remains an essential part of any beauty routine. Shoppers can explore sunscreen options from Bioré and Beauty of Joseon. “K-beauty has changed the way many Filipinos discover and enjoy beauty.
