BFAR gears up for sardine fishing ban in northeastern Mindanao

SAN FRANCISCO, Agusan del Sur — Commercial and municipal sardine fishing across 11 coastal towns and cities in northeastern Mindanao will temporarily halt starting next month. This comes after marine scientists warned that local fish populations have dropped to critical levels. The three-month annual moratorium, running from Dec. 1 to March 1 next year, is
